M. Atwood: Oryx and Crake
The design of the cover of the book by Margaret Atwood entitled Oryx and Crake. The cover refers to genetics and transgenetics which are both widely discussed in the book. Its main part is a processed photo that was made especially for the purpose of the book publishing and promotion-related undertakings. It is thought to reflect the randomness of DNA structures, but also – thanks to the utilization of paper medium – their organic nature. What is more, a promotional poster was created. Its purpose was to promote the publication among even wider group of prospective readers.
